London Screening, IFP Market, Translations

London
Landmine Action--the British branch of the International Campaign to Ban Landmines--is organizing a private screening of our documentary film Disarm. in London on Monday, 31 October 2005. Mary will attend the screening, which will take place at the Frontline Club in Paddington, a venue that opened in 2003 to support journalists, photographers and others who risk their lives in conflict zones during the course of their work. The screening marks the opening of a week of activities by Landmine Action. To attend, please contact Mary or call Jessica Linzey, (020) 7479-8950.

IFP Market
Brian and Mary attended the 27th IFP Market in New York in September 2005, where we screened Disarm, saw some amazing films, and had some interesting distribution discussions that we are continuing to follow-up on.

Translations
We’ve been sub-titling and proofing the film into Arabic, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. If you’d like to help by checking a translation, please get in touch! We hope to issue the translations on DVD by the time of the next major diplomatic meeting on landmines, scheduled to open in Zagreb on 28 November 2005. Campaigners in countries including Algeria, Colombia, Croatia, and Thailand are planning to hold screenings of Disarm.
